Taekwondo Martial Art

As a student in second semester, we have been given an assignment for our communication skill 2 to prepare within 9 post in order to contribute marks for our final semester. With that, i am very delightful to begin with "Taekwondo Martial Art" for my first post itself.

Taekwondo today has become one of the favourite sports in all ages around the world and even in our own country Malaysia. Taekwondo martial art was originally came from Korea and was famous among the sports. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art and the national sport of South Korean. In Korean, tae means "to strike or break with foot" kwon means "to strike or break with fist"and do means "way," "method," or "art." Thus, "taekwondo" may be loosely translated as "the way of the foot and fist" or "the way of kicking and punching."

In Malaysia nowadays, Taekwondo sports has been taken into sport account due to its high demand and great performances shown by those athletic such as Novie Gambus from Ranau. She was one of the taekwondo athlete which had contribute a gold medal back to in a year of 2006 in the competition of SUKMA (Sukan Malaysia). In short, she managed to brought a joyful to Sabah as well as Malaysian's name.
Unlike the other martial art sport, for instance Karate. Karate martial art is actually only apply on punching rather than kicking or back spining. The reason why Taekwondo are more prefer by the people is because it applies punching, kicking as well as countering and attacking.

They are 6 stages all together in order to achieve (1st DAN - 8 DAN Blackbelt holder). Those stages are white belt, yellow belt, green belt, blue belt, red belt and finally Black belt. Each of the colour belt will have to go through an exam in order to hold a new colour blelt. Once you have reach to the level of black belt you are then automatically hold the name of "1st Dan" 1st Dan holder usually will become an assistant coach. On the other hand, if you have reach the level of 7 Dan and above you are then will become a master coach as well.

Taekwondo martial art sports is simply an enjoy and fun to involve in. It even leads you to become a discipline person.
